TRUMPF Medical Systems, which had already set a high standard in quality with its widely praised TruVidia in-light OR camera, is raising the bar once again with the introduction of the TRUMPF TruVidia HD. The world’s first in-light high definition (HD) camera, the TruVidia HD captures and transmits razor sharp, brilliant, true-to-life images with 1080 line resolution and 2 million pixels. The images are more than twice as clear as those available from standard definition cameras. Images, captured in wide screen format, can be transmitted for interdisciplinary telemedicine applications and displayed on lecture hall screens for education. Still images and even entire video sequences can be stored easily on USB memory sticks.
The TruVidia HD is integrated into the central handle of the iLED Surgical Light or is available on a separate arm. The camera’s functions can be controlled directly from the sterile field or from the control panel. Another advantage, consistent with TRUMPF’s commitment to backward compatibility, is the open architecture that allows hospitals to upgrade from their TruVidia Standard Definition (SD) camera to the TruVidia HD at anytime, or if they wish interchange the HD and SD versions depending on the demands of a given procedure.
The TruVidia HD will be shown at the 2008 AORN Congress at TRUMPF Booth 2800 in Anaheim California during exhibit hall hours from April 1 - 3. For further information call 1-888-474-9359 or e-mail: info@US.TRUMPF-Med.com.
