Charleston, SC – TRUMPF Medical Systems, Inc. has announced CEO Toni Egger will focus his energies internationally and Managing Director Andy Reding will take full responsibility for the company’s North American markets. TRUMPF Medizin Systeme, TRUMPF Medical Systems’ parent company, had specific goals when Egger was appointed CEO in 2006. Having achieved those goals, including identifying a strong candidate to run the company’s North American subsidiary on a day-to-day basis, it was determined that Egger could now focus his attention on specific Global markets. Egger will continue to play a vital role in the North American market but Reding will take the lead and full responsibility for further developing the company’s business strategy including marketing, sales and service.
Egger noted that Reding’s performance since being appointed earlier this year opened the opportunity for Egger to diversify his role on behalf of the company. “Andy has moved quickly in achieving several of our short and mid-term goals including the development of an improved distribution model that will speed our products and solutions to healthcare facilities throughout the US and Canada,” said Egger. “With this structure in place and already evolving to better serve the market, I feel confident in focusing a portion of my attention on other markets.”
Reding acknowledged the importance of Egger’s contribution to the North American market going forward, saying, “Toni’s experience and dedication to bringing TRUMPF solutions to healthcare facilities in the US and Canada cannot be replaced and we value his ongoing activity on our behalf.” Egger’s participation will include regular trips to the company’s Charleston headquarters and continued support of current TRUMPF customers with which he has been working.
Reding, has an undergraduate degree from Marquette University, an MBA from the University of South Carolina and 14 years of sales, sales management and senior level marketing experience including 12 years with companies whose product lines are similar to those of TRUMPF.
Egger joined TRUMPF in 2001 as General Manager. In 2003, he was appointed head of sales and marketing at TRUMPF Kreuzer Medizin Systeme GmbH + Co. KG in Puchheim, Germany. In 2005, he assumed responsibility for sales and marketing of TRUMPF’s Medical Technology business division. He was named CEO of TRUMPF Medical Systems in 2006.
