New Integrated Distribution Plan to Speed TRUMPF Product and Service to Hospitals

Charleston, SC - TRUMPF Medical Systems has announced a new distribution plan that will bring together its OR and Critical Care products and provide each customer with a single TRUMPF-dedicated point of contact for the company’s full line of LED Surgical and Procedure Lights, Equipment Booms, Surgical Tables, Patient Transport Solutions and Consulting. The plan is designed to more efficiently and effectively allow customers to take advantage of TRUMPF solutions throughout the hospital.

“Due to the sophisticated and specialized nature of the TRUMPF product lines we concluded that our customer’s interests would best be served by relying on dedicated sales consultants who represent only TRUMPF,” said Andy Reding, TRUMPF Managing Director, North America. “When you look at the dramatic efficiency of parallel processing in the OR afforded by TRUMPF’s System Table and Patient Transport solutions, the efficiency and safety benefits offered by TRUMPF Equipment Booms, or the newer areas of LED lighting, where TRUMPF is leading the way, it becomes clear that dedicated TRUMPF sales consultants are best suited to bring these solutions to our customers.”

An integral part of the plan calls for the appointment of Regional Sales Managers, who have extensive experience and proven proficiency in helping hospitals implement TRUMPF products, to provide direct customer contact and be responsible for developing a strong sales team in each region. “We believe we are creating a win-win situation that benefits our customers with knowledgeable sales consultants, and provides an excellent career opportunity to experienced sales representatives who are interested in representing a high-quality product portfolio that is very much in demand,” added Reding.

The plan calls for the cancellation of contracts with separate OR and Critical Care distributors. The new team of TRUMPF Regional Sales Managers, representing those integrated product lines, will include top sales performers from the distribution side including Mike Bender who will be responsible for portions of the Southeast and Scott Burgess will be responsible for several Northeastern states. TRUMPF will also draw on the expertise of its internal product specialists including John Moore who will be responsible for New England. Additional appointments, covering the balance of the country, are being finalized and will be announced shortly.
