Service Manager

Reports To: Director of Operations

Summary

Develop and execute an effective model for management of technical service operations and quality systems. As an integral member of TRUMPF management, the individual builds a team, develops processes and systems, interfaces with foreign colleagues and enables the effective delivery of service to our valued customers.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

Builds a highly proficient and responsive technical service team.
Provides an appropriate level of technical service to ensure customer satisfaction and meet our business needs.
Trains service technicians to improve and maintain competency.
Dispatches technicians to complete service calls and/or installations.
Provides phone support for inbound customer calls.
Develops a sustainable business model to increase revenue through non-warranty service calls and contracts.
Travels in field as required to monitor service activities and assist in sales calls.
Secures relationships with factory personnel in order to expedite service parts requests and receive technical product training.

Experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to manage multiple projects, organize work assignments. Computer proficiency with Microsoft. Individuals must have a high level of technical proficiency in order to help troubleshoot electro-mechanical problems. Must be willing to perform manual labor on occasion to assist with field installations. Medical device or hospital biomedical experience is preferred.

Education
Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in electromechanics or engineering preferred.
